The proposal for the Evionnaz–Collonges School Centre imagines a new generation of educational infrastructure: open, contextual, and deeply connected to its landscape. Designed as a coherent ensemble rather than a standalone object, the project brings together the school courtyard, gardens, play spaces, and central square into a unified spatial experience that supports both learning and collective life.
Inserted within the existing fabric of the site, the scheme establishes a careful dialogue between architecture, topography, and public space. The school becomes a civic presence — not only a place for education, but also a framework for encounter, orientation, and everyday use. The project balances new construction, renovation, and phased implementation, allowing the school centre to evolve while preserving operational continuity throughout the construction process.
At the heart of the proposal is the idea that a school should be both functional and inspiring: a place where children learn, move, gather, and grow in close relationship with their environment. Through a strong interplay of built form and outdoor spaces, the project aims to offer a clear, welcoming, and durable setting for education in Evionnaz–Collonges–Garance.
